Keo- arrived in our household as a fluffy little bundle, so cute. When ever we went anywhere, 100% of the people went out of their way to talk about him.  When he got older, it was the same thing so I had to wear sunglasses so people would let me go about my business. From the beginning, he was always eager to work and took his Schutzhund work very seriously.  He was a great companion and made me feel safe no matter where I was.  He was happier working than doing pretty much anything else, except running in the sprinkler or swimming.  He was and is the most remarkable animal, in a class by himself.  Although he was my first shepherd and more Bill's dog than mine, he had an intelligence and audacity that I didn't know was possible in a dog.  He was fierce yet gentle and licked the face of more than one infant.  My only regret was that I was not big enough or strong enough to handle him.  When the time comes again to get another dog, I will definitely get one of his siblings.

I would just like to thank my breeders Cindy and Paul Schneider for one of the best things that has happened for me in my 42 years. And that is my dog Thor. In the Spring of 2004 Thor was born and I was invited to come out and socialize with the puppies and in doing that Cindy matched my personality to that of my future little boy Thor. Several weeks went by and I called to see if I could get my puppy on my birthday and was informed that he would be ready a week earlier after he got his tattoo which in turn freaked me out because I didn't want anybody hurting my little guy and I heard that tattoos hurt. So hearing that Cindy was kind enough to make sure I showed up after it was done but I got there early and found out it was really nothing to be worried about. See this one of the great qualities of these breeders. They take great care in their breeding practices and their screening of potential owners. If they see that you will not be a good owner you will not be getting a dog. It's not about money to them it's about the dog and its future care. Paul and Cindy also will counsel you in any area of concern that you might have and coming into this type of dog I had a lot of questions so that I could bring him up right. Every question was thoroughly listened to and answered to the best of their knowledge in a way that I would understand. My Thor is almost two years old now and our bond is so tight that he is never more than three feet from me except when I head off to work. He has brought me nothing but laughs and happiness. He's a lover dog and a great protector and minds excellently when a command comes his way. All of his obedience has been taught to us by Paul and Cindy at the Snohomish Schutzhund Club. When it comes to training Paul is the at the top of the list in my book. He has shown me things that are relatively easy which I thought were hard before I was taught. Then you walk away feeling better and you're hooked on training.

  Hi Paul and Cindy

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for such a wonderful asset to my family. Yeager is almost 3 years old now and I' am having a great time with him. He has his own acreage to run on and is happy to do so whenever he gets the chance. Yeager is my fifth German Shepherd and I can  honestly say he is by far the most level headed and easy to work with. As you can see by the photo's he is well trusted by our whole family. This is a photo of my daughter with her first child in her arms that is only a month old. Everyone that meets him remarks on his stable personality. I can only hope that you will continue this type of quality breeding when I wish to make another addition to our family.
                       Thank you again.

Cindy & Paul: Good afternoon. All is well here - and we hope that this note finds you also well. Just wanted to send a photo of our (mine and Annette's favorite son) - this is a picture taken last week, 30 September, when Styx (Zeb Von Schneider) passed his herding instinct test and was so certified and titled from the American Herding Breed Association (AHBA).

Of course Styx doesn't know about the certification/title - all he knows is that he had a lot of fun chasing the sheep. A few folks commented that they thought that Styx was given a tougher challenge than some of the other dogs - whatever, he excelled at what he was asked to do (like his Dad - Phax, not me.)

Next week he is headed to Western Washington Fairgrounds to take a "Temperament Test" - I am sure he will do well, very well. As you know he has strong nerve - so he won't be scared - I am sure that as things are presented to him he might be startled - but his drive and curiosity will bring him to "check the noise out" - which is what he is supposed to do.

We met Kerry Southern at the event - I guess you folks are thinking of hooking Phax up with her dog Elie (sp?) - Elie looks like a real nice dog.

He, Styx, is a great pup, a true companion and a wonderful friend. Cindy, you were so right - he has a great temperament - and he loves to play, and play, and play. Paul - he, like his dad, loves to swim - he swims about 45 minutes a day. Water temperature is getting cool - so we may have to stop him until Spring. He also loves to chase balls - second best exercise.

Have a great day - we'll stop by an event soon to say hi,

 TXS - BJ and Annette

Cindy - Paul:

Here is a photo of Styx in one phase of receiving his AKC Temperament Certification - he aced it 28/33.

Now he is onto his Good Citizen, then therapy and Service dog qualification in Delta Society. I am sure he will do superb

Thanks - do have a great day, BJ

  Cindy,

Ferro is super. Everyone loves him when they meet him. But before you come into his house he and you have to be told it is ok. He is extremely smart and extremely trainable.

As a former Canine Officer of two State of Alaska Dog’s – Ferro has more trainability of any dog I ever worked. He is my son’s dog who is 19. My former Canine partner and Officer met Ferro a year ago and was so impressed with him. He reminded him of a dog he once handled in the military overseas. My sadness is for pleasure I do not have the time to spend with him in training.

I am sending our communication to my son so he can send you some pictures. I have had many shepherds in my life time but the quality of your breeding program I would brag about without you asking me to do. My Father use to say, “ You get what you pay for.” When it comes to Ferro and your breeding program most buyers don’t know the difference but I am one who does. I would never ever hesitate to recommend or buy another dog from your program.

Buyers need to know there is a difference in quality from Wal-Mart.

Photo’s soon.

Vinnie
